Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with John Hayden

Chicago Blackhawks agree to terms on a two-year deal with forward John Hayden. He is 22 and he recently completed his senior season at Yale University. He had career highs in goals (21), assists (13), and points (34). Hayden was Yale’s team captain and was selected as a 2017 Hobey Baker candidate and a finalist for the Walter Brown Award as New England’s best American-born Division I college hockey player. He played at Yale for four seasons and had 50 goals and 41 assists in 127 career games. He was drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round in 2013. He is a big guy and can make an impact right away for the Blackhawks.
