Earlier today the Chicago Blackhawks announced that they have signed forward Tanner Kero to a two-year extension that keeps him under contract through the 2018-’19 season. Kero is 24 years old and has five goals and seven assists in 38 games for the Blackhawks this season. Tanner Kero started the year at Rockford before being called up by the Blackhawks. Financial details of the new contract haven’t been released. Kero is in the last of a two-year, $1.85 million deal with a $667,500 average annual cap hit.
