Panthers hand the Chicago Blackhawks their worst loss of the season

The Chicago Blackhawks who are the the top team in the Western Conference lost 7-0 Saturday night to the Florida Panthers. The Blackhawks suffered their worst loss in more than five years. Hawks lost 9-2 in Edmonton in 2011. It was the second straight time where the Blackhawks got destroyed in South Florida. They lost 4-0 to the Panthers last season. Blackhawks committed 10 penalties. Blackhawks are still eight points up on the Minnesota Wild. Blackhawks Coach Joel Quenneville pulled Corey Crawford after giving up four goals on 25 shots, and Scott Darling came in and allowed three more goals on the first five shots he faced. Jonathan Toews finished with zero shots on goal, and Patrick Kane finished with one shot on goal. It was just a bad night for the Blackhawks and a really strange game. Let’s hope they can bounce back.
