Chicago Blackhawks lose 3-2 to the Bruins

Chicago Blackhawks fell to the Bruins 3-2 on Sunday at the United Center. Blackhawks who clinched the top seed in the Western Conference yesterday, came out and looked like a team that had almost nothing to play for until the playoffs. Blackhawks were trailing 2-0 when the Hawks got on the board thanks to one of the most unusual goals of the season in the second period. Artemi Panarin shot the puck towards the net but it ended up hitting Richard Panik because Panik was over the goal line. The puck came back to Panarin who shot it again, and this time hit the back of the net. Panik got an assist on the goal. Artemi Panarin scored his 29th goal of the season. Bruins got their two-goal lead back in the third period, But just 25 seconds later, Jordin Tootoo scored his second goal of the season off a feed from John Hayden. Blackhawks kept putting the pressure on the Bruins trying to score again to tie the game but they couldn’t convert. Brent Seabrook had two assists for the Blackhawks. The Chicago Blackhawks finish the season with a 26-10-5 record at home. Next game at United Center will be Game 1 of first round of playoffs. Go Blackhawks!
