Chicago Bulls lose 100-91 to the Knicks

“Tonight we just got our ass kicked on the boards,” Coach Hoiberg said. The Chicago Bulls are gonna be the Chicago Bulls. They lose to the Knicks 100-91. Knicks have swept the season series from the Bulls. It was a horrible first half for the Bulls as they trailed 54-40 heading into halftime. Bulls shot 5-of-20 with 6 turnovers in the second quarter, in which they were outscored 25-16. Bulls had zero fast break points in that first half. Bulls were 15 for 45 from the field, and they were 2 for 13 from deep. They played very sloppy as they had eight turnovers in the first half. They couldn’t make a basket as they had four points in the first eight minutes in the second quarter. Only five Bulls players scored.  Nikola Mirotic had 13 points and 7 rebounds in halftime and Jimmy Butler had 12 points.

It got worse in the second half. Bulls tonight looked like a team that didn’t know they had a game to play. It was an ugly ugly game to watch. They should’ve won this game but no they played like a team that were not fighting for a playoff spot. It’s just a big disappointment. Jimmy Butler finished with 26 points on 9-18 shooting, while Nikola Mirotic finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds on 7-15 shooting. “We didn’t come out with the fire that we needed to. They came out like they were playing for something and we didn’t. They whipped our tail in every aspect of the game,” Jimmy Butler said. Bulls shot 6-of-27 on 3-pointers, ending their streak of seven consecutive games with 10 3-pointers or more. Bulls were also out-rebounded 53-36. Anthony Morrow had 15 points and finished the game as the only Bull with a positive +/- rating. Bulls can sweep the Cavs during the regular season but can’t beat the Knicks. Just unbelievable. Bulls dropped to 6-4 with Dwyane Wade out of the lineup. They have a day off on Wednesday and then play the 76ers on Thursday night in Philly. The scheduled start time for that one is set for 6:00 p.m. CT.
