Former Cubs catcher and fan favorite David Ross will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sing the seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field on April 12. That’s also the day when the Cubs receive their championship rings before hosting the Dodgers. At the home opener this this Monday at Wrigley Field, the Ricketts family will throw out the first pitct. Cubs Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg and Billy Williams will sing the stretch. Wayne Messmer will sing the national anthem, while Julianna Zobrist wife of Cubs player Ben Zobrist will sing “God Bless America.” On opening night on Monday Championship banners will be raised with Cubs alumni participating. Actor and comedian Jeff Garlin will sing the stretch on April 13, and Bears quarterback Mike Glennon will throw out the first pitch and sing the seventh inning stretch on April 14. Star actress Mila Kunis will throw out the first pitch on April 15. Cubs will wear gold versions of their jerseys and cap for the home opener and on April 12, which will feature the World Series ring presentation.
