Chicago Cubs shut out the Dodgers 4-0

Chicago Cubs beat the Dodgers, 4-0. They improve to 6-3 on the season. Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell each smacked their first home runs of the season off left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu. Brett Anderson, making his Wrigley Field debut, picked up the win against his former team, scattering three hits over five scoreless innings. Reliever Carl Edwards pitched two scoreless innings in relief of starter Brett Anderson, who appeared to hurt his back fielding a grounder by Yasmani Grandal in the fourth but pitched long enough to earn the win. The Cubs have won 2 of 3 in each of their first 3 series of the season. Up next are the Pirates at Wrigley Field, Friday, 1:20 p.m. RH Kyle Hendricks vs. RH Gerrit Cole.
