Celtics take Game 4 and this series is all tied up at 2

Celtics take 104-95 win in Game 4, evening series 2-2. Critical Game 5 on Wednesday in Boston.

At the half, Celtics led 57-46. Thomas and Green each have 16 for Celtics. Jimmy Butler had 17 points and was 11-14 on FTs in the first half. Bulls were 14-37 from the field. Coach Hoiberg played 11 players in the first half. Bulls trailed by 20 early in the game.

Jerian Grant lasted just under five minutes of the first quarter, going 0-for-3 and earning the quick hook. Then Michael Carter-Williams came in the game. MCW picked up two quick fouls. So then Hoiberg told Isaiah Canaan to get in the game. Canaan, signed in the offseason to add some outside shooting. Isaiah Canaan had 13 points. Bulls have to send Michael Carter Williams and Jerian Grant to another league. They are just awful.

The main edge the Bulls have in this series was on the offensive glass and Hoiberg sat Robin Lopez in the 4th quarter. Hoiberg opted to go with Lauvergne, Portis and Mirotic as his rim protectors. No Lopez at all, when the Celtics cant rebound. It’s unfair to rip Hoiberg because he’s never been given roster that’d fit his style, But a lot of questionable choices.

Jimmy Butler played 45 minutes and had 33 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and was at the free throw line 23 times and made 19 of those. Jimmy Butler is the third Bull to attempt 20+ free throws in a Playoff game. Jimmy Butler’s 9 assists are a new career Playoff high. The Celtics just wanted it more than the Bulls did. Tough game but before the series I picked the Bulls in six games and I still believe they can win in six games. Wednesday is gonna be a big game in Boston. Go Bulls!
