Chicago Cubs lose 7-5

Chicago Cubs lose 7-5 but take 2 of 3. Reds Arroyo retired the first 10 Cubs batters until Kris Bryant hit a single to left field that preceded a home run by Anthony Rizzo in the fourth. 12 consecutive games Rizzo has hit safely in. Cubs John Lackey got off to a rough start when Billy Hamilton hit his ninth pitch for a single before stealing second and third base on the next two pitches and then scored the Reds’ first run. A ninth inning rally for the Cubs stalled when Miguel Montero hit into a double play. Cubs defense wasn’t great as they made some stupid errors. Kris Bryant committed a throwing error with two out that allowed the fourth run to score in the sixth. Cubs winning streak ends at 4.
