There are those fake Bulls fans and then there are those loyal Bulls fans that support this team no matter what. I watch every Bulls game. I make sure I don’t miss any games. There is only one NBA team that I love and that is the Chicago Bulls. They are my team and will always be my team. I usually enjoy watching every single Bulls game, but not this year. This season was rough. Bulls finished the regular season 41-41. The way this team played just made me so angry. There were times where they couldn’t even beat the worst teams in the NBA, but they beat the best teams in the NBA. There were moments throughout the season where I had to go for a walk after Bulls games to cool myself down because I was just so disappointed in the way my team played. I’ve been a Bulls fan for my entire life but this season was my least enjoyable season.
Under-performing against bad teams was the story of the season for the Bulls. They were so inconsistent this season. Executive vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman have had too many chances. Year after year Gar Forman has stood pat at the trading deadline staying with the roster that he’s put together which will not go far in the playoffs or even make the playoffs. Between 2010 and 2014, Gar Forman made zero trade acquisitions as the general manager. Nobody wants to come to Chicago, I don’t blame them when you got a franchise that has no plan. They signed Dwyane Wade for one reason and that’s to sell tickets. Who’s being held accountable here? The inability to land good players and overvaluing our talent is on you Gar Forman and John Paxson. Gar and John both of you should be held accountable when Tom Thibodeau wanted to draft Draymond Green but no you rolled the dice on Marquis Teague? There is no sense of direction for this team. Players who should be traded aren’t traded until their value drops. We don’t have the talent to make a championship run. There is no plan here. Gar Forman and John Paxson both of you should be fired. The Bulls front office isn’t going anywhere and we can’t do anything about it. It’s just ridiculous what’s happening. We don’t deserve this crap.
I’m gonna be very real with you guys. I don’t care what anyone says. All these fake Bulls fans out there just need to shut up about this team because you have no idea what you are talking about. I am a die hard Bulls fan and will always be a fan but Executive vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman I’m gonna call ya’ll out. Bulls fans are not stupid. We know what ya’ll are doing. I truly believe that I am more passionate about the Chicago Bulls than you guys are. Gar and Pax are an absolute joke. They don’t care about us the fans. All they care about is making money. They have led attendance in the last seven seasons so I know that puts a smile on their face. Both of them should be embarrassed. They are both lucky to still have a job. Gar Forman signed his best friend Fred Hoiberg two years ago and I can say that the hire was a big big mistake. Gar should be ashamed. I’m not a fan of Fred Hoiberg. If he’s fired this summer, I wouldn’t be upset at all. In the other hand the front office put him in the absolute worst position to win from when he was hired. Fred Hoiberg has a certain kind of offense he wants to run. Which includes high volume 3 point shooters that are ‘young and athletic’. Hoiberg wasn’t given that at all. Hoiberg had all season to figure out a rotation that works for him and the team. Losing Rajon Rondo after game 2 doesn’t give him an excuse to just throw darts on the wall. It’s the playoffs and you’ve got guys sitting out one game and then playing big minutes the next.
Let’s look at the Bulls roster. Rajon Rondo had a very interesting season. He was suspended for throwing a towel at the Bulls assistant coach, He was fined from the Bulls with the whole thing that happened between Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade and you can make the case that the Bulls lost the series against the Celtics because Rondo was out with an injury. The younger players on the roster looked up to Rondo. Bobby Portis said that Rondo is like a brother to him. Management has until June 30 to decide whether to pick up a $13.4 million option on Rajon Rondo or buy the veteran point guard out for $3 million. I think he won’t return next season. Next up we have Dwyane Wade. Wade said he will take his time deciding whether to exercise his player option for next season of $23.8 million. I was told that the front office believes that Dwyane Wade will pick up his player option and if I was Wade I would be selfish and get my $23.8 million. Wade had a interesting season. There was a good amount of games where Wade didn’t getting back on defense, He was getting tired very easily, and a lot of times looked like he was just fed up with the way the team played.
Next up we have Jimmy Butler. Now if you don’t know I’m a huge fan of Jimmy Butler. Butler is one of the best two way players in the NBA and I think his a top 10 player. People need to start giving credit to Jimmy. The odds have always been against Butler. One thing about Jimmy is that he never stopped believing in himself. The guy never gives up. The guy continues to get better each and every season. The guy works out three times a day. The guy just wants to win. Jimmy Butler loves Chicago. I was told that if the Bulls commit to Jimmy long term and not try to trade him than Jimmy would like the Bulls to add a star in the off-season to help him out and Jimmy will do his best to recruit players to come play for the Bulls.
Next up we have Robin Lopez. Lopez is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He does everything that you ask him to do. He is a hell of a player. He defends very well and can score those mid range shots. He is a very good player. Nikola Mirotic had a very frustrating year. He was not active for a couple of games because of coaching decision. There were games where Niko had great games and there were games that I told my self Niko can’t play another second because he just sucked. Niko would like to return to the Bulls next season but I’m told that is unlikely to happen. The players that I expect that won’t return to the Bulls next season are Isaiah Canaan, Michael Carter-Williams, Cristiano Felicio, Nikola Mirotic, Rajon Rondo and lastly Anthony Morrow. Denzel Valentine, Bobby Portis, and Paul Zipser need to have a big off-season because they are likely gonna see a bigger role next season. The Bulls head to the off-season with more questions than answers. Things need to change. Enough is enough. Gar Forman and John Paxson fix this freaking team already so I can enjoy watching Bulls games.
