Chicago Cubs lost 6-2 to the Red Sox on Sunday. A big reason why the Cubs lost is because they gave up 4 runs in the 8th inning. Kyle Hendricks didn’t allow a hit after the second. Cubs were down 2-0 as Kris Bryant led the comeback with a solo home run to center field in the fifth. Jon Jay scored from second on a wild pitch in the seventh to tie the game at 2-2. The 8th inning was a mess for the Cubs. Pitcher Koji Uehara allowed three hits to start the eighth and was replaced by Strop. Uehara failed to cover first on a grounder, Pedro Strop threw a run scoring wild pitch and Addison Russell committed a throwing error plating two more runs. Cubs finished the month 13-11 after going 17-5 last April.
