Chicago Bears signed offensive tackle Bradley Sowell to a one-year deal. Sowell spent the 2016 season with the Seahawks where he played in 10 games with nine starts. Sowell, a 6-7, 309-pounder, has played in 68 career games in the NFL with 21 starts. He spent three seasons (2013-15) with the Cardinals where he played in 48 games, including 13 starts during the 2013 season. Sowell spent his rookie season with the Colts where he appeared in 10 games. He played college football at the University of Mississippi from 2008-11 where he was a two-time All-SEC honoree. Bears did not draft a tackle last week, but had already added competition by also signing Tom Compton to a one-year free agent deal.
