Kyle Hendricks proved to the haters why he is the number 2 starter for the Cubs. John Lester had a complete game yesterday and Hendricks went seven strong innings, allowing two runs and giving him a 1.96 ERA in his last six outings. Kyle retired 15 of the final 16 batters he faced after allowing a home run to Denard Span in in the third inning. The Cubs beat the Giants 5-4. Cubs fans got nervous when Wade Davis gave up a 2-run HR in the 9th inning, which is his first earned runs given up this season. Anthony Rizzo was amazing as he homered twice and was on base 4 times. Jason Heyward scored after hitting a triple. Cubs are now 24-21 and a half-game behind the first-place Brewers. Eddie Butler will try to win the series on Thursday, going up against Jeff Samardzija. Go Cubs!
