Chicago Bears agree to 1-year deal with WR Victor Cruz

Chicago Bears sign Wide Receiver Victor Cruz to a 1 year deal. Cruz reportedly visited the Bears and Jaguars this month. Cruz, 30, joined the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of UMass in 2010. He started on their Super Bowl XLVI-winning team in 2011 and had 303 catches, 4,549 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in his seven seasons with the team. This offseason, the Chicago Bears have added Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton, Reuben Randle and Titus Davis at the receiver position.

Victor Cruz is 2½ years removed from major knee surgery. Cruz had 39 receptions for 586 yards and a touchdown last season. Prior to 2016, he had played just six games the last two seasons.

“The Giants will forever be family,” Cruz said. “But for now, Bear down!!!”
