Jimmy Butler is signed with the Chicago Bulls for two more seasons with a player option for 2019-20 season. According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Jimmy Butler has hired a new agent after not having anyone to represent him since last season. His new agent is Bernie Lee who is a Toronto based agent. K.C. Johnson also noted that Butler’s agent finalized the agreement with the National Basketball Players Association and the Chicago Bulls were told of the change during Butler’s exit meeting which happened this past Monday. The Toronto based agent is familiar with the Bulls management as he represented John Lucas III and Mike James. Butler was named All-NBA third team a couple of weeks ago and needs to be named All-NBA again in either of the next two seasons in order to earn the DEP Distinction. The Bulls are the only team that can offer Jimmy Butler the extension which could be worth five years and up to $247 million beginning in 2019-20. Jimmy Butler will now have a new agent to negotiate a deal.
