The Chicago Cubs draft LHP Brendon Little

The Chicago Cubs draft LHP Brendon Little from State College of Florida at No. 27 overall. He is 6-foot-2 and had some flashes in the Cape Cod League when he posted 39 strikeouts in 27 innings and a spot on the league’s all-star squad. 195-pound Little was 5-3 with a 2.53 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 85 1/3 innings this past season. Little was the No. 159 prospect in the 2015 BA 500 out of a Pennsylvania high school due to his flashes of arm strength and promise with his offspeed stuff. The 20-year-old Little was the No. 36 prospect on MLB.com and is lauded by scouts for having a quality curveball.
