Dear Jimmy Butler….

I don’t know where to start. Thank you. I’m shocked, confused, and sad. This die-hard Bulls fan is a huge fan of yours. I woke up today and I just had a weird feeling. All week I was nervous because there were so many rumors out there about the chances that you can get traded. When I saw that the Bulls were close to trading you to Minnesota, I right away froze. I was hoping it wasn’t real. When I saw the tweet that the deal has been agreed, I sat on my floor and I wanted to cry. I was seriously sad. I couldn’t believe that my favorite player was getting traded. You don’t understand how much of an impact you have had on my life. You went from a homeless teen to the 30th pick to one of the best players in the NBA. You inspired me. You are a guy that I look up to. I never understood why some people didn’t like you. You are a great person that loved Chicago. Every game you left it all on the floor. I know how much you wanted to win a title in Chicago, and I’m sorry that it didn’t happen. This seriously sucks. I really wanted you to play for one team in your NBA career. A lot of people never gave you the credit that you deserve, and for that I’m sorry. Every year you improved in your game, and every year you battled out on the basketball court. The odds have always been against you. Your path to the NBA is as unlike as anyone who plays in the league given your backstory. One thing about you is that you never stopped believing in yourself. You just never gave up. You continue to get better each and every season. Jimmy you are not just a great offensive player, you are also a great defensive player. You always defend the best player on the other team, and you usually do a phenomenal job shutting the other player down. Thank you Jimmy Butler for never giving up. People have doubted you, but you continue to prove them wrong. This Bulls fan just wants to tell you that you are a phenomenal player, and I will always support you no matter what. Thank you for everything you have done for this City. I’m really hurt right now. You are a special player and I will really miss you. Good luck in Minnesota. Go kick some ass with Thibs. I wish you nothing but the best. This Bulls fan will ALWAYS have your back. Thanks for the memories. #21Savage
