Chicago Bulls fans start GoFundMe for billboard calling for front office firings

Chicago Bulls fans really really want the front office gone. Bulls fans are not happy with the team’s front office. On NBA Draft night the Chicago Bulls traded fan favorite Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 overall pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 7 overall selection (Lauri Markannen), Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn. Bulls fans have simply had enough. They are sick and tired of this Bulls team, and one Bulls fan is doing something about it. A fan named Brendon Henderson (also known as “bshendy” on Reddit) started a GoFundMe to buy a billboard that will call for the firing of GM Gar Forman and VP John Paxson, otherwise known as “#FireGarPax.”

“It’s time to raise our pitchforks everyone. Reinsdorf and GarPax have made the Bulls the laughing stock of the NBA for far too long. This past NBA draft is the final straw,” Henderson wrote on the GoFundMe page, along with a full list of grievances. The fundraiser’s ultimate goal is to buy a billboard in a location that has the highest traffic in the Chicagoland area.

Henderson outlined his plan. For $2000, an ad calling for the firing of Forman and Paxson will go up on a digital billboard near the United Center. There is another tier as well, but the ultimate goal is at the $10,000-15,000 level, which is for a billboard in “the most high traffic area in Chicago.” So far Henderson and the organizers have raised over $5000 and secured a digital billboard that will promote a message of dissatisfaction aimed at the Bulls’ front office. The billboard likely won’t make changes in the Chicago Bulls’ front office, but at least it will let the Bulls organization know that fans are fed up with how things are going with the team.
