Patrick Sharp agreed to a one-year deal with the Blackhawks. His contract has a base of $800,000 and a $200,000 games played bonus, TSN’s Bob McKenzie reported. Sharp was part of the Blackhawks 2010, 2013 and 2015 Stanley Cup championship victories. He had 239 goals and 272 assists in 679 regular-season games and 47 goals and 40 assists in 142 playoff games for the Blackhawks.
Blackhawks announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Tommy Wingels on a one-year contract that runs through the 2017-18 season. Wingels is a native of Wilmette, Illinois. He has 12 points (7G, 5A) in 73 games split between the San Jose Sharks and Ottawa Senators during the 2016-17 season.
Blackhawks announced that they have agreed to terms with goaltender Jean-Francois Berube. Berube has played a total of 21 NHL games, posting a 3.11 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Berube will turn 26 on July 13. He was drafted by the Kings in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Blackhawks signed defenseman Jordan Oesterle to a two-year contract. Oesterle was in the Oilers’ organization the past three seasons. He played in two NHL games last season and 25 over the last three seasons. The majority of Oesterle playing time has been in the AHL, spending the last two seasons playing 44 games in each season for the Bakersfield Condors.
