Cubs win, Cubs clinch!

The Chicago Cubs had unfinished business coming into tonight’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals. They were supposed to clinch last night, and almost did, but came up a couple runs short of winning. But tonight, was a whole different story.

The Cards scored first, off an RBI single in the 2nd, giving them a 0-1 lead going to the 3rd.

The Cubbies, however, came back with a vengeance in the 7th inning. Addison Russell got the ball rolling in the 7th, with a three run homer, making it 3-1. Jason Heyward followed suit with an RBI double, making it 4-1. Tommy La Stella followed with an RBI double of his own, making it 5-1 going to the 8th.

Cubs win! Cubs clinch!

After the Cubs are done celebrating, they play the Cards one more time tomorrow, and then they go back to Wrigley to play the Reds.
